Matt received his Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Chemistry from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in May 1997. He worked as an electrical engineer for a DOD subcontractor until starting business school in 1999. Matt received his MBA from the University of Baltimore’s Merrick School of Business in 2001, graduating cum laude. He was admitted to practice before the United States Patent Office in 2003, after previously working as a Patent Examiner within the USPTO. Matt received his Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law in December 2004 and was admitted to the Maryland Bar in June 2005. Matt is a former Patent Examiner with the United States Patent Office and focuses his practice in intellectual property law, primarily the patent preparation of electronic, mechanical, software, and business method applications, and corporate law and some limited Maryland issues as they arise.

Stacey received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and English from Dickinson College, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in May 1995. She worked as a writer until starting and throughout law school in 1998. Stacey received her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law in December 2001, and was admitted to the Maryland Bar in June 2002. Stacey is a former Judicial law clerk to the former Special Master, now Baltimore City District Court Judge Christopher L. Panos in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City’s Family Division, as well as for Judge Joyce M. Baylor-Thompson, Judge Karen Friedman, and Judge Lewyn Scott Garrett in the Orphans’ Court for Baltimore City. Stacey focuses her practice in intellectual property law, primarily trademarks and copyrights, as well as corporate and family law. She ran her own practice, The Law Office of Stacey White-Welker, from 2003 until the formation of White-Welker & Welker in 2005.
